The hostel is comfortable, and the bathrooms are good. However, the reception staff could be much more welcoming and helpful. Communication was often difficult because they spoke extremely quietly, even outside quiet hours, and often seemed as though they were doing guests a favour.
My biggest concern is security. The dormitory has no key, despite having easy access from the street, and the lockers can apparently be accessed by lifting the mattress, bypassing the locking mechanism. My sunglasses went missing, and when I reported the incident, the hostel’s response was essentially that they could not take responsibility or do anything about it.
Providing lockers that may not actually secure guests’ belongings without clearly informing them is unacceptable. Comfortable accommodation, but disappointing hospitality and serious concerns about security.
