Slow check in with one staff member on the desk and a queue. All staff were polite and helpful. They seemed to do a mix of duties so the same people popped up around the hotel. Good central location. I paid for a double room on an upper floor which was nice and spacious. I was grateful for the effective heaters. Had breakfasts in house which were adequate. Good value for the tarrif charged. Publicity about the restaurant not being open for lunches and dinners was misleading., Bar meals were available. I chose to eat out

Thank you, I enjoyed my stay, great balcony and view, lovely comfortable beds and warm blankets for this time of the year. Enjoyed breakfast each morning. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend Kingsgate to anyone, who is visiting Dunedin. This suited us well as we were out on day excursions, and nice to come back to lovely comfortable bed. Nga Mihi :)
