Location is convenient and rooms have ample space. Bathrooms are small and pipes are old. Shower drain was real slow. Staff was friendly and breakfast snacks were adequate. Had to bring them back to your room, but everything is close by. Overall nice stay.

This property is always very clean, and I enjoy the variety of accommodations available. I’ve stayed here many times, and in different chalets throughout the ones available. The staff is very friendly, the owner is a lovely lady, I try to stay here every time I’m in Custer! It’s an eclectic, historical place. Guests need to appreciate it for its uniqueness and preservation of original features!!

This is a charming pet-friendly place to stay in Custer. An old-fashioned motel with individual "cabins" with everything you need-nothing fancy. They put out a grab and go breakfast of juices, yogurts, and muffins. The staff is great-friendly and helpful. Felt very welcome and safe. Right on the main road in Custer. Easy to walk to shops and restaurants. A great value for the price!

This is the only place I stay in Custer, with over 10 years of traveling there for art shows. The Chalet is a historic motel with charming, very clean rooms. This is a safe, healthy and refreshing stay. Only a few steps to a local favorite coffee shop, the Mickelson Trail and downtown. Rooms are quiet and comfortable.

This is a really pretty place on the out side, but the inside not so much. It is such a tiny place. It is ok for a one night stay just to sleep. We had a coffee pot, but did not have a microwave. The bathroom is like a small camper space. The were no plug-in’s for medical equipment, cell phone or anything else, the room had a small standup gas heater that we could not get the knob to turn to knock the morning chill. The staff was very friendly, which made the other things not so bad.

We got in super late and accidentally didn’t leave a number to be texted for late check in instructions. The late night receptionist was super kind and helpful. She picked up as soon as we called the number on the office door and got us all squared away. We were able to check in right away and had a great nights sleep. Our room was super cute and the bed was nice. Definitely would recommend and will stay again!

We were pleasantly surprised by this motel. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. We felt very comfortable here and loved the cozy, charming feel of the property. The room was spotless with some very well thought out perks. The separate bedroom for a double queen room was an added delight for us who travel with kids. Travel guides were provided as was a fireplace in the room. The information sheet included in the room listed several recommendations for food, drinks or sightseeing while in the area.
