Hotels in Lagoa

Very comfortable hotel with beautiful manicured grounds. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast buffet was superb. Only problem was a lack of local restaurants in easy walking distance, encouraging visitors to visit the resort restaurants which were mediocre and expensive.

Lovely small boutique hotel. Close to town and a balcony overlooking town and ocean. Baskets of food brought to you for breakfast we ate on the balcony. Walk to the beautiful 7 hanging valleys trail. Just perfect!

This place was a steal, staff was amazing, located in quiet Porches, we enjoyed every part of our trip. The villas were modern and very well thought out. Minutes from Chapel Nossa and surrounded by picturesque scenery. Truly would 10/10 recommend, looking forward to returning.

Lovely views and easy access to the cliff walks. The facilities feel new and staff is very accommodating. The pool was family friendly, but lap swimmers found time and space if they wanted. Only downside is the location; the walk to town is a bit long and hot - a shuttle would be nice a few times a day to maybe save a walk.

This was a nice stay. Virgil, an owner greeted us, and answered all our questions. The rooms were quiet, and clean, and comfortable. We liked being away from the many people that are down around the main village. Virgil recommend the restaurant about 100 meters up the road, and we went two nights in a row. Great food and atmosphere.

Nice property. Great rooms. Beautiful view, if you get a beach/water view room. We had reserved a non-water view. Asked for upgrade at check in. Got the upgrade but had to pay more money, thought that was a perk with Expedia VIP, but wasn't. Nice bar area with good views and decent food. The upscale restaurant was good, but pricy. No restaurants next to hotels for food options. 15 Min walk or very short drive is the local village was is very tourist oriented and has lots of restaurants.

this is the 5th time that we stayed at Vilalara...this says something. We come here for the fantastic Thalasso spa and its great staff (multi lingual and so friendly), the most beautiful settings, the most unique gardens, the six pools, the direct access to their wonderful beach and also the location (easy to to reach). This was one of our favorite places that we stayed in Portugal. Placid Village was located in a quiet area, but only a 15 minute walk to the restaurants and beaches in town. Going back to the hotel was an uphill walk, but not too bad if you are in decent shape. In the evening we did Uber back. Did not cost much at all to Uber. Breakfast had such a great variety and everything was delicious! The set up of the b&b were great and it was a very clean location. Staff was wonderful and extremely nice and accommodating. The only thing is that the room did get quite humid/moist, but if you keep the window opens it helps. We would absolutely stay there again!

Great place to stay. Easy to get to a lot of small towns from the hotel. Staff was great. The breakfast was worth the stay in itself.

What a wonderful quiet hidden resort on top of the beautiful cliffs of the Algarve region in Portugal. We took the train from Lisbon to Tunes, where the resort arranged a taxi to pick us up. Its about a 20-30 minute drive to the resort. Wear your seat belt, taxi drivers do not drive slow. Nice little hotel with friendly staff! Breakfast was great!

Such a nice surprise. Check-in staff was amazing, property was spread out and nicely maintained. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Was a nice walk to town and great hike along the coast of the property to see the cliffs and beaches below.

Honestly our favorite hotel of our honeymoon! They have an excellent location, on-site parking and is walking distance to everything you need. Staff were friendly, breakfast is amazing and the pool (with bar) was to die for. Would love the opportunity to stay here again!

PLUSES: two good-sized pools, wonderful breakfast, clean rooms with comfortable beds, game room COULD USE IMPROVEMENT: 1. we paid for breakfast but my teenage son preferred to sleep in. I asked if I could prepare a small plate to bring to him and was told "no".
