Handy for the station and close to the city centre room clean and a nice pub one of my fellow guests had a dodgy shower but overall fine for a short stay
Kevin, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Had a great stay, staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit noisy due to the main road. Rooms are basic but clean and staff sorted us out with alternative rooms when ours weren't available. Breakfast was really good!!

6/10 Good

Hotel was situated in good place close to centre and station . Staff were lovely ,rooms a bit dated and needed a deep clean a bit overpriced for standard carpets in need of clean badly stained as was vallance around bed was very dirty and stained. Food was good but dinner only served on certain days of the week nothing on a monday or wednesday
Helen, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Very average property above a pub. Little tired, no proper reception. Location ok. No allocated parking.
Adam, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

The Bridge Hotel is a pub with rooms, located very at the bottom of the road up to Durham Rail Station. The rooms are functional and simple, with the basics provided. The en suite is small. Beware loud entertainers in the pub on special events. The Wi-Fi is provided free but it is limited. This establishment is fine for a short stay.
Leonard, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Staff is friendly and helpful. Their food is excellent. We had breakfast lunch and dinner in their pub. It is a bit noisy since the rooms are above the pub. But it is quiet after 10pm. The worst part is the shower. It is so small that a person can barely fit in it. There is no space to put the shower gel and shampoo. And there is black mold along the connection between the shower wall and shower basin.

2/10 Poor

We had to leave friday night has my wife felt unsafe and the room was disgusting damp in the bathroom and every time she went to room the person in next room followed her up she had really bad panic attack and the most annoying thing is they didnt give us any refund

Never again

Room was dusty and the floor hadn't seen a vacuum cleaner in months. I found two live carpet bugs on the bedsheet which suggests uncleanliness and lack of cleaning. The heater was broken, so they'd put a portable heater on the table. The remote control for the TV was so dusty it looked as if it had fungus growing over it. All this for £90 per night. To add insult to the mess the pints in the downstairs bar were £6.50. One positive was the breakfast - excellent eggs benedict served by the chef.

No Heating

No heating on in the bedrooms. Cold during the night and not a pleasant sleep

6/10 Good

Comfortable bed, lovely large window, room size ok. Shower a bit mouldy but otherwise cleanliness good. Towels a bit small. Breakfast booked for specific time but not ready on time, with grumpy service from kitchen. Front of house staff were very friendly and helpful.

It was fine for one night. A little old-fashioned but clean.

This is a good place if you want to try the British Pub as Inn experience. But the internet only worked downstairs in the pub, our room was small and had a nice view of the cathedral but you had to look past the neighbors garbage cans to see it. At night, the door out through the pub is locked and you have to come and go through the back door, down the fire escape and through the trash cans. No making the bed or fresh towels either. A friend's room on the front of the hotel was much nicer. Breakfast was good. If there was bed making, a larger room, and internet, I'd probably give it 4 stars.

The hotel was in a very good location with a nice friendly bar and staff. Room was very basic and quite noisy with the air conditioning system or heating outside the window.Expensive parking nearby and the breakfast was very disappointing,no jam or butter left out for the toast and sausages were under cooked.
