Lovely hotel, Remarkable for the price to be fair. Room was nice and spacious, beds and pillows were comfortable, shower was hot. What more could you ask for? Nice walk around the grounds in the morning after breakfast too. Amazing value for the breakfast, with everything you'd expect. Would certainly stay again if I was in the area.

This is a lovely place to stay in. The amenities are great. A good selection for breakfast, and super clean throughout. Staff are warm and friendly and gardens are beautiful for an after breakfast walk. quite scenic.

The house and grounds are beautiful. The breakfast was great they cooked some vegan sausages for me. The room was cold but they had an electric heater which I turned on when I got there and the room was warm when I got out of bed. Bed was comfortable. Shower was hot. The room proved difficult to find when I got there I could have been given better directions.

A beautiful grade 1 listed country house, set in it's own extensive grounds. The hotel offered fantastic value, two nights for two with breakfast £170. The hotel appears to have been redecorated recently, everything in the bedrooms and public rooms being fresh and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a buffet English style, with a few continental style things available. My only critisism is that there wasn't a desk to work on in the room , there were no drawers to place clothing in and the dinner menu was a little limited but overall an excellent hotel offering good value along with a certain style.

Lovely grounds and staff. The room was ok but the shoer head didnt sit in cradle so you had to hold it which we had made them aware of lsst time we stayed. It was quite dusty behind bedside table where you plug phone in but I will stay again as i generally like the hotel

The room was in a different building and was damp cold and a lot of things were wrong with it the taps were covered in limescale the room didn’t get very warm the room smelled of damp and the floor was stained the bathroom shelf broken and the bed base wasn’t big enough for the mattress it hung over the side my husband caught his leg on the base which was sharp, the staff were lovely and the breakfast was nice but the whole place needed re decorating and a good cleaning. Not what I expected.

Comfortable room and helpful staff. Our room was in a separate building, and with luggage, it's probably better to move your car to the parking immediately adjacent to the rooms. Our room was on the ground floor and had a glass door to the grassed area outside, which was nice. There's a shorter footpath back to the restaurant and bar through some trees (it's well lit so no chance of getting lost) . There's also a really nice pub nearby, The White Hart. Altogether a very pleasant stay and extremely good value for money.

Booked this last minute and was so impressed! We were put in the grange and was very pleased, though parking was a bit of a pain. Well equipped room, very comfy bed, incredible shower. Also had breakfast, we were very pleased. Will stay again!

The bed sheets and pillows are cheap awful quality in the Grange building. In comparison the Mansion is quite luxurious. Stayed in both several times and other than the Mansion house on hot days absolutely cooking you stay there for the extra £10!

Great last minute stay to break up the journey. Staff were really helpful and the breakfast was brilliant. Plus the room and outside areas were great. The only downside is that the room was incredibly hot and even with the fan which was provided it was really hot still. Definitely staying again when we’re in the area, just hopefully not when it’s 34 degrees outside 😂

The hotel is probably a bit dated in places but never the less a lovely hotel. Tje grounds are beautiful. Lovely staff, we used bar area which is very nice. Our room was perfectly situated for us in the grange but there were a couple of things we told them about. The showerhead would only face the wall so you had to hold it. Bath is quite high to get into and thete are no grab rails to help you keep stable, not good if your dissabled, also bathroom door would benifit from a door stop to save tiles from getting damaged. The doors in corridor bang when people go in and out, but this is all constructive criticism. Would deffinately stay again and hopefully they will have made those small changes

Room 16 sold as Premium room, Very small double bed, ok sleeping alone vey tight I image for 2. The room has zero view with the window facing the back of the other part of the hotel and directly above the bar. Each morning around 6 the ovens and fans etc start generating noise from the kitchens below. Unfortunately for me also the person in Room 15 had their TV on all night, until 0600 and it is mounted on the wall directly behind the bed head in R16!! I will not be paying a Premium for that room again!! Breakfast is pretty good but there really is no need to put herbs as dressing on virtually every item from eggs to tomatoes, it is NOT a part of an english breakfast. Its chef BS and does not taste better. Also have the option of plain yoghurt rather than those awful flavoured pots you have.
