I booked a room with two twin beds and the beds were secured together as one big bed and not appropriate for me and my daughter. Check in was quick and easy, arrived an hour before check in time and there was a room available for us. The weather was very hot, there was a fan in our room but it didn’t provide much cool air, I heard many guests having the same complaint so I think air conditioning would be beneficial to improve service. The lift is also a bit awkward as you can only fit two people in at a time. Overall good location as it’s in walking distance to the centre of London, it was affordable for one night but wouldn’t want to stay for any longer. We didn’t opt for breakfast so can’t comment on the food

The three star rating is spot on. This is a moderate- to low-end hotel by almost all, measures. Upon check in during a heat wave, I asked if there would be a fan in the room. The answer: There should be. I had to look for it, but it was there. The elevator stops at the sixth floor but my room was one more flight on the 7th. At check out, I suggested that the room was too hot; the response I received was: All of our rooms are hot.

The staff were super helpful & efficient. The condition was as expected for the cost. However the noise in the room from outside kept us awake as the windows are so old. The window is not double glazed & didn’t close properly. They need secondary glazing installed if it’s too costly for new windows.
