10/10 Exceptional

As it was my first time visiting Turkey, I was very pleased with my experience staying at this hotel. Everyone at the hotel was very attentive and helpful with all my questions. Many thanks to everyone, especially Serkan, Celine, the concierge team, and all the wonderful staff at the spa. Great hotel, and I would definitely recommend it!

8/10 Very good

It’s a basic spacious room and housekeeping did a good job in keeping the room clean. I got unlucky and was given a smoking room which smelled awful. Make sure to request a non-smoking room in your special requests during booking since they can assign smoking room to anyone. Surprised they don’t ask during booking or during check-in if you prefer a smoking or non-smoking room like most hotels. Location is decent, you can walk to taksim square and to the attractions nearby. Hotel is outdated, this is by no means a 5-star hotel. More like 3.5 or 4 stars. Overall wouldn’t mind staying here again in a non-smoking room.

I had a fantastic stay at Barceló Istanbul. I paid for an upgrade to a beautiful suite with its own private hammam, which made the stay even more special. The room was spotless, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was excellent. Great value for money and highly recommended.

8/10 Very good

Great location, just a short walk to Taksim. However, in my opinion, this doesn’t feel like a true five-star hotel. The rooms, service, toiletries, and breakfast were more in line with a four-star hotel. Overall, it’s a good choice if location is your priority
