As an American traveler, I thought Villa de Khaosan was good value for the price. The hotel is very clean, the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the location is great if you want to be close to Khaosan Road. My main issue was the noise inside the hotel. You expect to hear an occasional door closing at most hotels, but the sound really carries through the corridors here. Doors shutting and people passing through were especially loud, so that’s something to consider if you’re a light sleeper. In terms of the four-star rating, I would set expectations a little lower. Based on my experience with hotels in the U.S., it felt closer to a 2.5- to 3-star property. That said, the cleanliness, lovely staff, and convenient location made it a decent option for the price.
