A lovely hotel full of character. The room and common areas were very well furnished and it felt extremely comfortable. We ate next door at The Grove and had a wonderful ( if a little expensive) meal

The Briar Barn Inn is an exceptional place to stay. This was our second visit. As it was the first time, the property is extremely clean and well-maintained, with so many thoughtful touches. The overall atmosphere is so warm and welcoming. We can't wait to return.

8/10 Very good

All staff were very cordial. The rooms and grounds were great. Our only issue this trip was that our TV remote was not working properly (and should be replaced) and the continental breakfast was "first come first served."

A truly unique and wonderful inn. This was our third stay, and we will be back again. The architecture is striking, and the interiors are beautifully designed, with artwork and art pieces all selected by the owner. The rooms are all bright, sunny, and spacious. The restaurant next door is also great. It's clear that the Inn is a popular wedding and event venue as well. It's a great home base to travel up and down the coast - we gp north one day, south the next, etc.

Beautiful place, we stayed over July 4th heat wave and stayed cool and loved the room a property. Just a shame the restaurant was shut for holiday.

We are always pleased when we stay at the Briar Barn Inn. It is beautifully appointed and welcoming. The staff is courteous and friendly. The continental breakfast is wonderful and coffee is available 24/7, which is a perk I really appreciate. Everything is 5-star!

Such a nice and inviting spot in the North Shore close to all our favorite spots and beaches. A small pool and spa are on property and we enjoyed both. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Check for seasonal closures of the restaurant which we experienced during the holiday weekend. It’s a lovely spot and we will definitely visit again.

A quick mini getaway to this lovely charming Inn. The grounds were immaculate and well groomed. Loved the creative and welcoming potted displays of arched birch branches, pussywillow vines nestled with colorful spring flowers. A definite return for us.

Beautiful inn right in between Newburyport and Ipswich, great location. Staff was very helpful, spa was relaxing, grounds lovely and room clean and very spacious. Unfortunately we couldn’t eat at the restaurant because there was a function.

This is truly a very lovely and special inn. Everything was clean and well kept, lawn and lawn games looked inviting, the shared reading spaces were peaceful. We just should’ve done our research beforehand, because we didn’t realize the restaurant was closed two of the three nights we were there. But we’re so happy we discovered this wonderful place!
