Our stay at The Inn on Shore Road was wonderful! We came for the weekend of the Fourth of July and were impressed with the property's location, hospitable staff, and its quietness. The breakfast basket pickup was amazing - such a nice, homely, and delicious touch! Housekeeping was responsive when we asked for more towels and soap, and the only negative was that the rooms are smallish - but well within range for a quaint New England beach town. We look forward to returning and again watching...

This property is beautiful. It sits in the historic area of the old port. It is very close to the waterfront, restaurants, shops and historic areas. The mattress and sheets were superb. While in the old port, we took a trolley tour which took us out to Portland headlight and then gave us a tour of of the old port. You can catch fairies from about two or three minutes walk away, we would strongly recommend this hotel.

When I checked in I was told that my room was across the street because I booked with Expedia and there was no ocean view room. that was my special request !! So I asked to speak to the manager. She was so helpful and gave me a ocean view room. My disappointment was with Expedia not explaining to me where the Towers were located and that was a room with no view.
