"A car is required to get to the hotel, although I did not partake in any of the spa it did look amazing - the pool and the drinks are amazing - the breakfast is amazing where you can sit on the terrace - the restaurant offers good food although I thought it was a bit too much and overly fancy for nothing - and the taste was not really there."

The staff is so good and want to help anyway they can. We are finding that helpfulness is a Portuguese trait, they are born that way. There is free parking, free EV Charging, a free tour of the wine process and free treats. The location is great for exploring the Douro valley. I recommend visiting Regua and if you are a good driver take a ride up...
