This is by far the BEST hotel we've stayed in in Datong and in China! Its also the BEST Holiday Inn as well. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The room very confortable and accessible.. Quite hotel too... we stayed a week and slept so well. Its easy to catch and Uber or walk around the neighborhood. Safe and clean area as well, but then most if not all China, is safe. The breakfast Buffet has to be the best ever! So many choices to choose from! We would definitely stay here again and...

Really great hotel with scenic views of the lake behind the city. Service and quality of the hotel is amazing. We didn't try the food there, but saw that Cafe 99 on the 1st floor had a nice looking dinner buffet. Location is near the center of the city, so lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. The concierge was also really helpful and provided food recommendations. The lobby includes a kid's play area, but it wasn't open during our time there. Pool was lovely.
