This is a lovely hotel with gorgeous landscaping on Lake Victoria. As an American who has traveled to Mwanza 10 times before, this is the only decent place to stay. It’s just 2 miles from the airport. Quiet, huge rooms, great food and a welcome respite from a day of long travel from the States.

The Lake Victoria view from the restaurant deck is so beautiful. The staff is super friendly and nice. I am amazed at how clean the staff keep it. My room was mopped fresh and clean each day. The breakfast was not to my liking. I am not a fan of certain foods which are more popular here. My major complaint was that my bed had an area that was uncomfortable but sleeping at an angle made up for it. Overall, a grand hotel.
