Cute boutique roadside motel from the bygone era. Greg has upgraded and maintained the motel so nicely. Extra touches in the room like a personalized welcome note and a chocolate treat are an extra touch that make you feel like your business is appreciated. Couldn't ask for more. The staff were extremely friendly and generous. The room was beautiful -- not overly luxurious, but full of character and with an extremely comfortable bed. One fixture on the bathroom sink was broken, and the TV was on the small side, but I would hardly call these complaints given how nice the overall experience was. And to top it off, the breakfast was amazing -- both the quality of the food and the service. We would definitely stay at the Captain Farris again.

We went to the free bird when we weren’t able to go camping because of rain. We were skeptical.. but we were very pleasantly surprised! The pool area was gorgeous the room was very clean and new. The service was quick when we needed new towels. Overall GREAT experience. If we are in the area again would def go back. They also set the room up with balloons and cupcakes for my birthday so sweeet!
