"My very short (one night) stay at the Thayer could not have been more delightful. The staff at the front desk was very gracious and welcoming. The valet attendants were kind and good humored. "We wanted an overnight stay so as not to travel back to Long Island from upstate and also because it was our 51st Wedding Anniversary. In addition, we were going to Middletown the next day, June 1, 2026. This hotel was perfect in location and comfort. Accommodating and polite staff, clean and super comfortable bed, we slept very well. Satisfying breakfast especially the coffee. So we’d stay again and recommend It as well."
