The property was great. However, I don’t appreciate being pressured into listening to a Vacation Sales package. I want to pay for my rooms, checking in and do what I came to do. If I wanted to sit through a Bacation Club Sales pitch, I would sign up for your deals.
Rooms were outstanding. Loved the fireplace area in lobby. Great place to relax after dinner. All amenities available were excellent.
Didn’t like the fact that NO coffee available for free in lobby during morning hours. Also, appreciate lodging establishments that have any type of breakfast available for the guests for free. Not looking for extravagant items, just something. Disappointed in this and for the cost of the rooms per night which was ok, but then get charged for parking. Really. ...
I am a clean freak especially when it comes to dining and sleeping, this place was spotless. Great romantic quite atmosphere. Most places places we stay in its either you get good food, good room or nice hotel, This place has it all. This place is great to stay at when visiting Sedona. It offers a kitchen, full size fridge, and a deck with a bbq grill. The room also has everything you will need to cook and enjoy your meals. It was a much needed break from expensive meals out in town. The best part is the hotel has a very large year round hot tub , and offers convent parking right outside your room. If you are planning to do a lot of outdoor activities and want to avoid the tourist traps this hotel is for you.
We struggled picking a hotel in Sedona and ultimately settled on Matterhorn because of the location. We could not have been happier with the hotel as well as location. Other hotels may be closer to trails however this is in the center of everything! The price and value were also the best. I highly recommend the Matterhorn Inn for your stay in Sedona!
My husband and I loved the property! It was very quiet and in a very central area. Right across from the properties is Tlaquepaque - a nice little Mom & Pop shopping center with whole-in-the-wall stores & restaurants. A little up north, maybe about half a mile away, you have Uptown Sedona with some more shops and great restaurants to eat at. I would recommend this property to anyone planning on visiting Sedona. A Sunset Chateau is one of the few places in which I would seriously consider a long stay. It is gorgeous inside and out, with a stunning view of the red rocks of Sedona, Arizona. Everything is very carefully considered, the furnishings are perfect, and the breakfast is excellent. I feel sure nowhere in Sedona is there such value for the cost.
For a family of 2 adults and 4 kids the accommodations were spacious and comfortable. Having the kitchen and grills available was great given eating out in Sedona can be pricey given a family of our size. There was a Whole Foods & Safeway close by. The kids really enjoyed the activity/games room.
We loved the fact that this condo was not in town. Yes, that meant we had to drive back and forth to Sedona, but it was worth it for the peace and quiet of Oak Creak running right outside the canyon off the deck.
The staff is VERY friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hotel is convenient to trailheads restaurants and spectacular red rock views. Room was clean and spacious. Balcony relaxing with views of red rocks. Pool and jacuzzi clean. Breakfast offered eggs, pancakes, cereal, fresh fruit, bagels, sweet rolls, juice , tea and coffee.
The lodge and its surroundings are beautiful. Convenient to hikes and restaurants but also situated further in the mountains so it's more quiet and scenic. Shuttle service is great. Highly recommend.
The room was very clean and nice. It’s was very cozy and comfortable. There were a lot of amenities and even had a yoga class. The restaurant that’s at the property is very good as well. I just wish they had an updated menu online or was provided in the room for when we ordered takeout. Every dish we requested was no longer available but was shown on the menu online. We were told that menu wasn’t updated.
It was a great place to stay for a weekend getaway in Sedona. Off the beaten path, but at the same time close to everything--quiet but centrally located. We were there for the weekend and mostly ate out but if we had stayed longer we would have taken advange of all tghe kitchen amenities. Everything was comfortable and nice.
