I'm back and forth on this review, because the Victoria House and the staff were top notch. It is a great facility, very nice courtyard, great staff, beautiful views. The area around the hotel I would consider sketchy. Strand street is relatively safe feeling at least the north end where the street lights mostly work. The south end around the Fred hotel is dark and we had an incident one night after eating at the BBQ joint next door as we were walking back in the dark, turned out ok - but...

We escaped 3 feet of snow in Maryland on a last minute trip to St. Croix and chose Tamarind Reef as a result of the guest reviews and the obviously relaxed, quiet nature of the resort. This place is unlike any other! You get the whole flat to yourself, so you have lots of space. Very colorful and comfy. Keyless entry was awesome and the location is incredible - right in the middle of everything fun! The owner is so nice and very accommodating. I would recommend this property to anyone!

They offered to refund us the unused remaining portion of our vacation WITHOUT us asking them to do it. What more would a guest want ?...Staff was nice and helpful, caring about our problems, i.e. when our daughter got sick, recommending some clinics and making phone calls. St. Croix owes us nothing largely in part to our stay at the Waves. It is a boutique lodging only hosting 11 guest rooms that are available beautifully decorated for the boho chic enthusiasts. Beautiful boutique hotel set in nature, without the hustle of too many tourists/commercial distractions. Owners are the kindest and were super accommodating to our changing needs, making our stay feel even more special. Conveniently located to beach/shopping/dining/activities. I grew up literally next door. This property was my playground back in the day.

We spent 2 nights here at the end of a 16 day anniversary trip. We stayed at Divi for a week and Chenay Bay for a week. We wished we would have stayed here instead of Chenay Bay. Great decor in the suites.

Excellent views with warm winds, very relaxing. Close to everything, short drive to Beach and Dining. Property does not have a pool, bar or food as stated on Expedia however I recommend and will definitely stay again.

This unique hotel is in heart of Fredriksted easy walk to all shops restaurants. The front desk staff was lovely. All were pleasant and very helpful for things to do and transportation options. Felt very safe with 24hr security . Breakfast available daily. Local musician in courtyard was great! I will stay again!

I love the location nice and quiet away from the hustle. Right on the beach the view was amazing. The rooms and grounds were near and clean, however if your looking for a 4 star hotel this isn't it. The rooms are basic, the pillows are flat...but what you get for a view is 4 star. I would recommend this location for several reasons and the view is one of them. Make sure you get up early if you want hot water haha. Island Life. The King Christian is top notch. The staff went above and beyond for me. Very kind, friendly and welcoming.

The staffing is amazing and deserves all the praises for making our stay a memorable one. They took great care of my family and we had great conversations. The property was clean. The beach and pool was tend to daily and well kept. I loved every minute of my stay. Seven days was not enough but I feel blessed to have been able to stay. We will be back.

It’s a short walk to the boardwalk and is located in the downtown area of Christiansted.

It was very quiet since we were there during off season. Staff was excellent and most helpful. Food at the 2 restaurants was good. They do need to fix the elevator, however. Beach was not very walkable but understand they plan to improve the beach front.

My husband and I spent two nights on st. Croix. One night at the Buckeneer and one night here at the Renaissance. We Were not happy with the Buckeneer so when we got here it was a refreshing change.
