I stayed two nights here to see magome and tsumago. The hotel was the best hotel of my trip in Japan offering traditional japanese breakfast and dinner as well as a wonderful onsen. The staff was incredible and kind helping me even though I cannot speak Japanese. I cannot recommend this Hotel enough if you are planning on visiting this part of the Nakasendo Trail.
We very much enjoyed this hotel with a nice onsen facilities and included buffet dinner and breakfast with lots of food options. Clean, modern tatami room. Most guests are Japanese families and couples
The hotel is little dated, but the service is amazing. So polite and welcoming. My name was on the welcome board when we got to the hotel! The outdoor onsen is really nice. It was raining and it was great to be out there under the roof while enjoying the hot springs. After 2 nights there literally every ache and pain was gone in my body. We had the traditional Japanese breakfast and it was delicious. The servers were helpful in explaining what things were in limited english. This hotel is just a...
Great option for your Nakasendo trail experience. Beautiful town. Be sure to walk around the temples and find the weeping cherry blossom (I think this was the name).
Large outdoor area of onsen pools with 4 lie-flat onsen beds. This hotel is well located with large parking lot. The room is spacious with suite and view of river and Gero. We found the staff extremely helpful and friendly. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and healthy. The hot spring is known for restorative and you can feel the difference why Gero is ranked number 2 of the 100 best hot springs in Japan. The hotel's location and quality of onsen is hard to beat. Thank You for the...
Hotel is very nice and more reasonably priced price than other Gero hotels with comparable amenities. A lovely buffet breakfast is included. Staff do not speak any English.
