For someone that came to visit from out of town, it was so convenient having the train station nearby. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is friendly, they have everything you need. Breakfast is not complimentary, but they do have a tea and coffee station that's accessible at anytime. The staff spoke English so that was a plus. I took the bus from the airport to the hotel and it was about 8 mins to get there. They didn't have ac but the temperature at night was cool so you didn't need one,...
The Sorell Hotel Sonnental has a great staff and good facilities. The restaurant and spa are easily accessible and th me rooms are quiet. The hotel is close to public transportation, which is important because it is located outside of the main part of Zürich.
The hotel was located in a little shopping mall, which was nice if you needed to buy anything. Very close to the train station. Staff was very nice and helpful.

I got the room that sleeps 7. What is not mentioned is the size. This is a 3 bedroom apartment without a kitchen it is very large by European standards. It has 1 3/4 baths. One has a tub the other has a shower. A large living room with plenty of seating.
The staff was excellent. The gentlemen that manages the hotel couldn't do enough for us. Suggesting site seeing points of interest, showing us maps and discussing routes. He also speaks pretty good English.
This is a full service medical spa based on the Mayr fasting method, similar to Lanserhof and VivaMayr. Everything is impeccable, and we like the fact that it is in a city (although we did not go for fasting, so it might make this more difficult with all the restaurants around). A lot od dedication and attention to detail went in by the owner Mr. Buff. Highly recommended.
Staff were welcoming and worked efficiently; room was clean and much larger than MOST hotels I found in Zürich for much higher prices and which did not include breakfast like this hotel does! The breakfast was EXCELLENT, with a custom, self-serve, espresso coffee machine included. They also had a HUGE selection including made to order omelettes, many breads & cheeses, hot & cold food, fresh fruits.
