"Iron Horse is an excellent property! The lobby and lounging areas are so well decorated and inviting, you want to spend as much time there as your room. But the rooms are huge with fabulous decor and amenities so you might not want to leave. We also had dinner at their restaurant - The Yards. We sat in the outdoor area which was spacious with an outdoor bar and various levels and areas to dine. The food was excellent. We only stayed for one night as we were passing through but we hope to get...

"I was very pleased with Holiay Inn downtown Milwaukee. All the staff from the woman with long gray hair at the front desk to the valets were very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. I especially appreciated that the water got hot very fast, rather than having to run it for several minuets. Location is very walkable and safe; I recommend Topelo Honey and the Public Market."

"Dubbel Dutch is a beautifully restored older building on a quiet street a short walk from busy Wisconsin Avenue and Lake Michigan. We chose the hotel because of its proximity to the Milwaukee Art Museum--a 5-minute walk. The hotel retains its charm while being thoroughly updated and comfortable. The amenities were first-rate, and the hotel staff, although not on-site, were responsive and helpful. Easy check-in, easy parking (additional charge, but so convenient), easy checkout. Can't recommend...

"The staff was very accommodating as far as getting us on the 1st floor with the elevator out of order. They were great. Also we went to the restaurant/bar to purchase a bottle of wine for our room the bartender was fabulous with us as well as everyone on at the bar. She was excellent. "
