"The cottage was very nice and had everything you need. But no dresser and no freezer. Mini fridge was perfect since we did not cook but made sandwiches. There is a hot water kettle, nescafe coffee maker, a toaster, coffee pods, teapots and pans, cups plates etc It was very comfortable. We did laundry in the washer drier combo. It has an electric car charger upfront if you are driving an EV vehicle. The horses came by to meet us."

"We stayed many places between $200-500/night range throughout Iceland and this was by far the nicest. It is far from town (good thing for some ppl, bad for others maybe). The whole hotel even smelled lovely. Large rooms, it was warm at first but they provided a fan we placed by the window and it cooled off nicely. Firm but extremely comfortable bed, perfect soft pillows and nice duvet. The breakfast was also maybe the best hotel breakfast we had in Iceland. One of the few places I would stay again out of 10 hotels we used!! I only wish they would not charge for the hot tub (which appeared quite small)"

"We were delighted by our experience at Stracta. Glad we upgraded to the room with the fridge/microwave as we were there 4 nights and made good use of the “kitchen.” Bed and linens were extremely comfortable. Loved the shower!! The front desk staff were lovely. The breakfast buffet is diverse and delicious. We had one dinner in the restaurant which was also very good. The location is so convenient to much of the most popular attractions in Iceland. It’s a huge hotel but feels very intimate."
