Areas of improvement: Disappointed to have to call for house keeping to clean my room and room was not cleaned whilst I was not in the room. TV had no remote and had to call to get a remote on arrival. Was informed on arrival that sauna and steam was inaccessible due to renovation. "This is in a Nepal village, very different from Kathmandu. The staff was excellent, we had a guide, Nabin, who was also excellent - shared lots of information, pointed out lical flora and told us about the local customs. Truly enjoyed our visit."

"Wonderful boutique hotel tucked into the old city of Bhaktapur! Unique design profile, with careful attention to detail in its environmental approach. We were given a traditional Newari welcome, and tour of the property, and found the staff very helpful with tips and suggestions about Bhaktapur and the surrounding area. The food in the restaurant was delicious! Highly recommend this lovely hotel!"

"This was the perfect resort to stay in post our Everest Base Camp trek. The rooms were very comfortable and the shower was hot. We received excellent service from the restaurant staff, the spa services were high quality and the pool and hot tub were very relaxing. All in all we loved our stay at the Terraces and would recommend this as a great get-away from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu / Thamel. Note that the road to the resort is steep and windy and I would recommend booking the transfer...
