"A great find just off the centre of town, breakfast was plenty full"

"This is Greene King’s flagship pub and the brewery is just over the road. Once you arrive, you can smell the beer. It’s a very smart pub/hotel with many features. The room was well appointed and very comfortable. The en-suite was beautiful. Inside and outside"

"Staff were friendly and professional. The general areas of the hotel are clean and modern but the room needed some tlc. Dust and cobwebs clearly visible and a ceiling lampshade with a large missing part."

"Comfortable stay with all necessary facilities and friendly staff"

"Room was clean , well furnished and good modern decor . The one member of staff ( reception gentleman ) was friendly helpful polite efficient took us to the room on arrival . Facilities in the room kettle / tea coffee / sweets good. Bathroom generally clean and good BUT shower tray cracked and damaged at front with sharp edges and generally needed refurbishment as mildew / mouldy and unclean appearance around those difficult bits to clean . However the shower itself was functional and good....

"Fab hotel, massive rooms, lovely staff"

"Had a really nice 2 night stay at The Westgate. The room was spacious and had everything you needed. Tea and coffee was provided with proper sized mugs. Bathroom was clean and airy and the bath towels were huge. Bed was comfortable and I slept well. Breakfast was served at 8 and was a decent plate full of sausages, beans, eggs, mushrooms, toast and either tea or coffee. Would stay here again."

"Nice room, good food"

"It was a lovely venue for our family wedding. Basic rooms but very clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Maybe a lick of paint on the windows out back would be nice but that’s a very minor criticism of a very enjoyable stay."
