"It's not the safest area in São Paulo, but it's close to República Metro Station. From there you can go anywhere (once you understand the subway map). Important to day: It is an old hotel. DO NOT expect modern things in your room, but it is clean and cheap. I love their staff."

This was hands down one of the worst experiences I've had. The way we were treated by the staff when checking in was deplorable. It felt more like checking into a prison than an apartment building. The apartment was gross, cigarette burns on the couch and the bed was horribly uncomfortable. We left...
