Westfjords Hotels

This apartment was perfect for our stay. The neighborhood is very walkable with dining spots just a 5-10 minute walk away. The views are gorgeous and we loved waking up here each morning. The apartment was very clean. The host communicates clearly and responded to our messages very promptly. This apartment has a full kitchen. The bathroom even has a laundry washing machine. This space was perfect for our 3 day trip exploring the northern reaches of Iceland. Highly recommend for future travelers.

Holt Inn was the most comfortable and pleasant place we stayed during our trip to Iceland. Rooms were clean, breakfast was good, and the staff were kind and helpful. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely be back.

Although the bathrooms are shared, they are always clean and stocked with quality amenities.

It was magical....so beautiful. I was there for only one night and I want to go back. It took a long time to get there but worth it.

Our stay was great! The staff was wonderful, the beds were nice and cozy, the breakfast was beautiful, and everything was clean and well looked after.

We so enjoyed the location and the cleanliness of the hotel. We appreciated the "honest" bar, and enjoyed our wine. The beds were great, plenty of light in the room. The only downside is you are expected to pay to enjoy the sauna. After traveling so far to come to the fjords, we were disappointed and chose not to add to the bill. The staff in the breakfast room was extremely helpful and pleasant, thank you!

Small pot of the way town but nice place to stay and to walk (if the weather isn’t too rainy!). Nice big room with bath. Very comfortable. We had dinner in the cafe (the only place open in town as we are offseason) which was really good. Nice breakfast. Very good WiFi, which is not typical in the West Fjords.

Fosshotel was clean, easy to find, had convenient and adequate parking, the views were great, the bed comfortable, the lighting and number of plug-ins sufficient, and the elevator fast. As usual, the desk might have been a bit larger given that it needed to hold the hotpot/cups/etc as well as the laptop/etc we'd brought with us. Although it was not an issue for us, the curtains did an excellent job of blocking out the light. We didn't try the restaurant.

Small remote place that has amazing views of the mountains and oceans. About a half a K down the way are three free 24/7 natural spring hot tubs. We drank beers there after dinner with the captain of the whale watching boat and his wife it was great. Food and staff were as well.

Hotel Breidavik is all about location, location, location. Its not a place you stumble upon by chance, it's specifically the closest place you can stay to the puffin and other bird colonies at Latrabjarg Cliffs. And this is an area mostly serviced by rough, unpaved roads, so being close makes it much more likely that you will go and see the birds multiple times, even during a short stay. And it makes it easier to bird watch late at night when the birds remain active. The nearest town with...
