Our double room was a pleasant surprise, king bed which was super comfortable & quality bedding, the shower was amazing along with the luxurious toiletries . Breakfast……FAB U LOUS. "hotel very handy for shops etc. very good room (3) surprised really. all the usual bed bath shower etc but this room included a lounge area and a bit of a kitchen area. sink fridge and for some reason a dish washer . in the cupboards was one plate . no glasses so we was baffled. the room was a bit warm but wasnt a problem . The bar is ok but could do with more choice of real beers breakfast we had Washington grill which was very tasty. for those visiting Cumbria this hotel is 30 min drive from keswick or you can go via a bus which goes via Cockermouth.Train station is 15 min walk and you can go to Carlisle, 25 mins roughly,or along coast ,repair works permitting, to barrow seeing places like st bees , drigg or grange over sands. overall a good nights stay. a big thankyou to all the staff"
