Waterfront Hotel Downtown Burlington

6/10 Okay

"The hotel was in a perfect location next to Spencer Park, the lake and downtown Burlington. I gave it a 3 star as I had paid extra for a lake facing room and was told we would be overlooking the park instead we were over looking a roof facing a parking lot. When we were getting ready for bed we found the blackout blind wouldn’t roll down, both my husband and I tried. It was late and my husband just wanted to go to sleep. This was supposed to be a relaxing get away as my husband has cancer but instead the bright sun woke us up at 6:30. The lamp on one side of the bed was missing from the wall and there was just a plate over the wires so there was no place to plug anything in on the night table. I feel that because we booked through a third party we were given an inferior room and was told no other King bed rooms was available. Not we paid less than others would. I explained the problems on check out and the manager come by but didn’t say anything. The receptionist said she would look into getting things repaired but that didn’t make it better for us. Disappointing"
