We had a wonderful 3-nights stay at Lamp No Yado Moritsubetsu. We were two couples and took two Japanese-style rooms, both of which were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel very welcome from the start. The setting is beautiful—peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by lush greenery.
The hotel also has a beautifully designed and well-kept onsen, perfect for relaxing after a day outdoors. We enjoyed the large community room with...

This hotel is located across the street from the train station. Breakfast was available early, to accommodate the train schedule. Breakfast was fabulous!

Beautiful room view of the lake especially at sunrise. No real food at the convenience mart, just snacks and drinks. I suppose it's so that guests eat at the dining facilities.

An old school travel hotel with a nice onsen. This was a great jumping off spot to see Lake Mashu observatory, drive down to Sunayu Onsen and dig your own onsen, etc.
Staff were friendly, breakfast was traditional Japanese breakfast. Overall, nice and easy stay.

This place served an amazing dinner service. You really felt like you were at the seaside. The smoking room was nicely furnished and looked like a nice space, but it was very smelly when you walked past. It would be nice if there was a comfortable common area for non-smokers.
The rooms had ample plush towels, and comfortable futons.
