This is in a Nepal village, very different from Kathmandu. The staff was excellent, we had a guide, Nabin, who was also excellent - shared lots of information, pointed out lical flora and told us about the local customs. Truly enjoyed our visit.

Gaia has very clean and comfortable modern rooms, a great staff and restaurant, and amazing views. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I ended up staying there for two weeks in the winter of 2022. During that time, I ate every meal from the restaurant, and amazingly, never got bored. Both the selection and quality were top-notch. Kamal and his family, the noble Brahmins of Nepal, welcomed me and treated as a dear guest. Delicious organic food made mainly with own grown vegetables, milk from own cows, yoga classes with Guruji yogi Cass. The place is secluded in a mountain village and accessible only by motorbike from Dhunkharka Bazaar, so prepare yourself: come with a backpack and you will feel good if you carry along small gifts/sweets for the children and family (although it is of course not mandatory).
