The continental breakfast was very good. The 'otel' is in middle of city center with lots of shops and restaurants. Nice clean comfortable bed in a small 1-bedroom studio with a wet-bar. Definitely will return.

The staff were among the best and most respectful I have ever encountered in my travels. Gökhan, Emir, and Ali were especially helpful and attentive to our needs. The location was also excellent!

Van Life Hotel was very nice hotel and I enjoyed my time there. It is clean, quite, in a nice neighborhood close to the city center. The only shortcoming was the air-conditioning which sometimes worked and some other times did not. However, the time I was there it was not so hot and being in upper floors helped with air-conditioning.

What I enjoyed the most was the people. Melisa, Reha, Yusuf, Verat, Fatih all my made 5 night stay fun and personable. I did not want to rent a car so they helped me navigate the bus and dulmus to Akdamar Island and into the City Center. I also took an afternoon in the town of Edremet and enjoyed the harbour and shops. The people were amazing and fun - taught me about the local area and a little about Kurdish culture.
