The staff at Hotel Abuelo is superlative. We speak no Spanish, so every day the owner, Philippe, would call travel agencies to set up tours for us. He walked with us to the pick up location and waited with us until the van arrived. He even helped us purchase our bus tickets to Trujillo. In a town where no one speaks English, Phillipe is invaluable. Also, The coffee at was the best we had in our 21 data in Perú. Also appreciated was the endless hot water. Super comfortable beds, the staff very helpful and accommodating. A great variety of amenities, the food and wine selection is top notch. I will definitely be back.

It was perfect for our short trip. We had 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. A small but adequate kitchen and family room with a TV. The included breakfast was a great way to start our day. Fresh juice, eggs, local fresh bread and coffee. The staff was very accommodating. It was a very safe place and walking distance to everything and the downtown area. Highly recommend this place.

Fantastic, remote lodge with everything you need. I wouldn't recommend the location unless you intend on exploring Caral-Supe though. It's 20 miles off the Panamerican Highway on dirt roads but very close to the archaeological site. The amenities are excellent. Best breakfast I've had at a hotel in Peru. It's incredibly quiet. Internet was slightly unreliable and there is no cellular service. The staff is excellent.

Couldn’t ask for a better simple place to stay while in Huaraz!

Owners and staff makes you feel like at home, very attentive. Access is a little hard due to the road and not all drivers are familiar with the hotel, however the view is priceless

Excellently located, and excellent price-quality hotel

Mi estadía superó mis expectativas la habitación muy cómoda y limpia, la piscina limpia cumple con todas las medidas sanitarias y cuidados la srta. de recepción Pamela es muy amable muy atenta y siempre dispuesta a brindar lo mejor para una cómoda estadía. Los colaboradores de cocina siempre estuvieron atentos y ágiles con el desayuno, piqueos y almuerzos.

This is an excellent place to stay, but if you aren't being picked up, it can be hard to find the first time around. The breakfast was great, the rates reasonable, and the hotel quiet and pleasant. The staff was top notch as well.
