The food at the restaurant was very good. The air conditioning was very cold and it is HOT in Iquitos. The location was good and we enjoyed taking a guided tour of the Belen market. Guard your cell phone and bags from motor bikes driving by. The town has suffered from rising prices and lower tourism since Covid. People are so nice. Just don’t get scammed.

Unbelievable. I REALLY was not expecting any of what I received. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a very nice, helpful receptionist, Flo. She quickly worked to get me to my room, which was more of an apartment than a room. When we walked in and I saw a sitting room with TV and then a kitchen, I assumed this was a shared area for multiple units. Then Flo said "no, this is all for you." A perfect, rustic base for exploring the amazing Amazonian jungle. We had an incredibly knowledgeable guide, and the food was very good, too. Just don't expect anything more than camping-like conditions, with spartan rooms, mosquito netting and limited electricity.

We arrived on an early flight, and got to the hotel at 6 AM. We were very tired. They gave us an early check-in in: no extra cost, and no questions asked! When you've been traveling intentionally for two days, this is a huge bonus.

Nice hotel in a good location. All of The staff was friendly, welcoming and very professional. The music around the pool area was a little loud at night, but I do highly recommended the DoubleTree hotel when staying in Iquitos.

My family and I often stay at this hotel when we need a respite from the rigors of working in the Amazon jungle. It is always a pleasure and very comfortable

So it’s not right next to central Iquitos, but that doesn’t matter. Central is a quick moto taxi ride for very cheap, or a 15-20 minute walk. What matters to me is how nice this place was. Iquitos is a rowdy town. It’s lively with a lot of hustle and bustle. This property is not: it is serene. I loved it so much, I ended up staying an extra night.
