"Everything was clean, modern, and efficient. I would recommend it. My only suggestion is to put a second blanket in the closet of the twin rooms in case it's cool."
"Staff was very helpful and friendly!
The pool is a community pool, but the hotel has a section of reserved chairs for hotel guests.
eBikes were included in the reservation so we biked for ~30 minutes to go down by the river and make it easier to get back up to the hotel.
Free, onsite, self parking is always nice!"
"I was glad to stay at the Alamal but be warned - it is what it is. An old adequate boutique inn surrounded by lovely nature and a nice pool. It is remote so you need a car and go distance for restaurants or shops.
There is friendly but limited staff who are unavailable for most hours. Presumably guests are provided an email with instructions about accessing their room for evening arrivals, but those messages don’t get transmitted if reservations were made through an ap, so good luck.
The coffee isn’t drinkable but otherwise the breakfast is okay.
The real problem was the brown muck coming out of the hot water pipes. We departed a day early because the water was either brown or nothing coming out of the tap.
It was sad because this is a beautiful location. The room was very comfortable and the AC worked and the hotel managers were really sweet. "
"Terrific stay! Awesome service, cute place, super clean, wonderful location, and lovely views.
And the breakfast was great too - real vs powdered eggs, local pastries, fruit, and coffee.
I was also happy that that there was a shelf to place my toiletries in the shower.
Ideal for a couple of nights if you are traveling light. "
"First time travelers to this area. Nice to see a different topography of Portugal. Stayed in a Cork Shelter. Comfortable space. Hot water ran out but the shower flow can be reduced to lower flow which helped. The pool was lovely to linger by in the heat. Was fun to meet the resident pigs, roosters, hens, and goats! Dinner was yummy and breakfast buffet an awesome way to start the day. Spent a few hours at teh river beach close by as well as explored Belver. A nice quiet couple days after a busy few days in Tavira/Peniche/Nazaré/Lisbon."
"This is my go to spot when I visit Ponte de Sor. Have stayed here a few times now and can’t recommend enough. Staff are always very friendly and accommodating AAA "
