Hotels in Uptown

"I highly recommend the Guest House. It’s a beautiful boutique hotel with all the amenities you could want located in the great Andersonville neighborhood. Walking distance to great coffee shops, restaurants and boutique stores. Five Stars all the way!"

"Clean room, but some scratch and dents here and there. Elevators were quick, but need updating. Lobby was clean, classy and well attended by guests. Location was quiet and upscale. I felt safe in the neighborhood. I would stay here again."

"Very nice stay. Water views were beautiful."

"I absolutely love this property!"

"Wonderful staff, clean rooms, and a great location!"

"Geat spot to explore the north side of Chicago from. A few steps from the Hancock building and great shopping. Loved the bakery and the lounge and the staff was terrific"

"Booked this specifically for the rooftop with city views, when I got there I was told it was closed it would have been nice to know that before booking I would have chosen another hotel. Bed was comfy and close to a lot of stuff in the city. Room was spacious."

"I had a great stay at this hotel. Everything I needed was in walking distance and staff were very friendly and helpful"

"Great place! Clean and quiet. Close to all the tourist attractions:)"

"Perfect location for touring Chicago by foot, tube or renting a car. The front desk provided recommendations that all Were 5 star! Well done! The rooms were clean and perfect to rest up for our days on the town!"

"Loved this hotel, and would definitely stay here next time we come to Chicago. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable and quiet. The location was convenient, on the Magnificent Mile, walking distance, or a short bus ride to Millennium Park, the Art Institute, Symphony Hall, Riverwalk, the Lyric Opera House, Museum of Contemporary Art, Navy Pier and great restaurants. The hotel restaurant was great, food well prepared and well presented. The staff was friendly, professional and always helpful....

"Room was clean staff was pleasant and helpful"

"The location is wonderful. The hotel was clean and well appointed and it was easy to get to public transport."

"The hotel staff is friendly and attentive. The hotel itself is showing it's age. Our room had a portable floor a/c unit. The window was closed shut with black electrician's tape. The hot and cold water knobs were loose and came off easily. Even with these small issues, the hotel is still one of a kind. The view can't be beaten. The front desk staff went out of their way to answer our questions."

"Great location, short walking distance from Lincoln Park and the lake on one side, and the red line metro station on the other side. The neighborhood gives a British feel on N State Street. The Hotel is very quiet. My room was very spacious (King) and felt recently remodeled (except for the bathroom that was old, but clean). The restaurant/bar is welcoming and the food was good. The only cons could be the crowded elevators (only 2 elevators for a pretty large hotel) but it was Marathon...

"We had a great experience staying here. The hotel and rooms were nice and the people working there were courteous and helpful. We would stay there again!"

"Great location, wonderful staff, and comfortable room. This was a perfect place to commute to McCormick Place and still be in the middle of downtown Chicago."

"The Staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. Location was great. 100% recommended!!!"

"Great location. Near public transport. Full breakfast buffet. Evening cocktails and food voucher for Hilton Honors customers. Daily housekeeping. Only downers were no concierge for tourist assistance or loaner umbrellas for rainy Chicago travelers."

"Clean room and nearby the best areas of downtown "
