"Check in/out was a breeze. The restaurant has delicious Indian food and a wonderful flying fish platter. The poolside bar served great frozen drinks. We swam in the pool daily. We stayed in their basic room which includes stove, oven, microwave, fridge and a coffee maker. The a/c unit is in the bedroom which is good for sleeping however a fan to assist in cooling the main room would have been great."

A wonderful old, colonial era hotel right on the water. Tons of history, amazing service, and a great restaurant right on site. Excellent getaway if you’re looking for somewhere quiet, without many distractions.

A well-maintained property with clean rooms, great pool and a very nice beach, with helpful staff that are happy to set up sun beds with towels and shade. There is drink service at the beach although a bit slow. However, there is cold drinking water available via self-serve all the time. One important tip - the beach is divided into three by barrier rocks. Of the three sections, the one furthest away from the towel cabana has best ocean floor - with almost no rocks. This is one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I honestly can’t think of one thing they could improve upon. The grounds are stunning and the decor is spot on. The food was fantastic and the service impeccable. And the hotel offers all sorts of complementary amenities such as tea time, boating and snorkeling. As well there are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Staying here is a must!
The property was more than I expected for the price I paid. Mark the owner is a very friendly and accommodating individual. Communication was extraordinary, he made sure that taxi service was available throughout my trip. George who was my driver was very kind, he went above and beyond to make sure my stay was memorable.

From the moment we checked in (on our honeymoon) until we left 6 days later our experience was awesome. The general manager took the time to learn our name, greet us upon arrival and again as we left. Fellow guests were all friendly. My rental car's battery died and they took care of everything while we were off playing golf. The food, especially daily breakfast, was fabulous. All needs were anticipated without request necessary. All-in-all, a great trip (I highly recommend Barbados as well).

I recently traveled to Barbados early June for my birthday. The hotel staff was very warm and friendly; they checked in on my friends and I daily and gave us great advice of places to visit, places to eat and booked a catamaran excursion for us that picked us up and dropped us off. Rosie at reception is amazing!! She was funny and sweet and even gave a a bottle of wine on my Birthday! The people that run the B&B were great and made sure we were taken care of. We arrived pretty late at night but Gerry was right there to meet us at the front gate. Had 2 glasses of ice water waiting in our room. Enjoyed the breakfast and time just visiting with them.
Very small for a Fairmont but very nice property with all 72 rooms facing the sea. Everything you could want is on the property. Only challenge is that, for those who must roam, you must walk a bit to town, take a very convenient and inexpensive public bus, or taxi if you don't have a rental car.
