"The reception people were super friendly and helpful, I was able to leave my bag and collect it later which was very helpful, the room set up would be excellent for two people sharing,
Each person could have a private room but share a private bathroom.
I had a canal view!
It’s just round the corner from the Metro and a 5 minute walk to Rembrandtsplien.
I would definitely stay here again.
An excellent value hotel."
"Staff was wonderful! Bed was comfortable. Snacks and cheese trolley in lobby daily was a bonus. Breakfast was outstanding. Great central location . 15 - 20 minute walk to Van Gogh, Rijskmuseum and Vondelpark. 25 minute walk to train station and close to flower market and lots of restaurants. Comfortable lobby."
"We loved our stay. The hotel was convenient and close to museums and great restaurants. Staff helpful and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. We will be back."
"Great location in central Amsterdam yet pleasantly quiet. Metro also close by but a lot of the main attraction can be reached on bike or foot. Staff very friendly and helpful."
"This hotel was lovely. We found the decor beautiful and enjoyed the assorted teas, coffee and sweets in the lobby. The hotel bar was quaint. Our room was spacious with a stunning bathroom and perfect view of the canal below. We would stay here again without hesitation."
"Great lively hotel. Best room I‘ve ever had in Amsterdam. Super helpful and friendly staff. Great shower & comfy bed. Didn’t have a chance to visit the spa but looked cool. Would definitely stay again"

If museums are on your list, you might want to check out the upcoming exhibitions at Museum Van Loon in Amsterdam City Centre. You can also discover the art galleries and monuments in the area. If you want to see more of the museums in Amsterdam, you can easily walk to H'ART Museum or Rijksmuseum.
If you're interested in local religious buildings head to Amsterdam City Centre— home to Amstelkerk. Our travelers also love the museums and art galleries in the area— your sightseeing tour starts here.
I have stayed in several different hotels in Amsterdam. This is the best hotel for the average person -- noting I am sure there are some nicer hotels that would cost $400 a night. This hotel is perfectly located between the Museum Quarter, the old section, next to Rembrandt Square, very close to the mile long walking mall, near other great shopping streets. Walking distance to the Jordaan district which is my favorite area. The hotel provides first rate breakfasts that spare no expense. ...
Great hotel, wonderful staff! We got there very early and our check-in was at 3. They did offer a different room, at the same price. But we had reserved a canal view room with a balcony and decided to wait. It was worth waiting for. Nice and quiet, with an amazing water view. We were there for King's Day ( not on purpose). There were about 1,000 people out front with a great DJ. The whole city is in party mode. It was fine, but glad our room room was along the river in back.
Really the perfect hotel for the museum tour, in easy walking distance to all of them. The canal is lovely and quiet, tons of busy restaurants in a 4-5 block radius, lively night-life, friendly, busy, fun. Lobby recently renovated and very enjoyable with a view of the canal -- the breakfast service is superlative. What's not to love? If you stay, book a panoramic room, you won't be disappointed.
I will only stay at this hotel in Amsterdam. The location is ideal - quieter street but walkable to everything. The amenities are everything you need for a relaxing vacation. The staff is out of this world - energetic, professional and helpful.
Loved this area of Amsterdam. The street was so cute and quiet and right down the street from outdoor cafes. Grocery store down the street. Easy to take public transportation from the Airport to the hotel.
The property is unique. The commons areas are welcoming and convenient. We stayed here to be close to the art museums, and if you can dodge the bikers and trams for a five-eight minute walk, you will love the experience. The cocktail spread was all we needed for that evening meal, though we did find nearby restaurants that were fun. Breakfast at the hotel was delightful. Most wonderful was the kindness of the lovely women running the hotel. We felt welcomed in Amsterdam thanks to them.
Great stay start to finish. My room was large and impeccably clean. I was easily able to order extra hangers and a bathrobe. Breakfast was fresh and had great variety. The gym was simple but met my needs. Staff were very helpful and kind. Excellent location, very convenient for the airport and center of Amsterdam. Highly recommend this hotel and location.
This is a wonderful hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
It is located close to upscale shopping and tons of restaurants and other stores. The tram service is very close as well.
The room was small compared to North American standards but the bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the shower/bathroom was also clean. The placement of the faucet in the bathroom sink is a bit awkward but this is a tiny complaint.
I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it.
Hotel Estherea is a beautiful place, with a fabulous location, great staff, clean, breakfast is great and the cookies, flavored waters and coffee machine are over the top. There are fresh flowers, gorgeous chandeliers and very comfortable sitting areas. It was a real treat and I would go back in a minute.
The hotel staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Our room had a beautiful canal view. Walking distance to restaurants, museums. The room was clean and comfortable. We would stay here again.
My husband and I recently stayed 3 nights at this hotel and could not have loved it more. The location is perfect for walking and exploring all different parts of the city. Dam Square, The Red Light District, The Anne Frank house, The Heineken Experience, and The Rijksmuseum area were all within walking distance; some closer than others. Rembrandtplein and Kalverstraat are also only about one block away and really nice areas to walk around in! Throughout our entire stay the staff was warm,...
