Tasty food, clean and recently renovated rooms, a lovely pool kids pool and a nice beach with a lot of included sports offerings. "We were looking for an alternative all-inclusive resort to Turkey or Greece (so we can drive there vs flying). The potential for this resort is huge...it competes very well with the best. We stayed 2 weeks after it opened, and the staff and level of service was already excellent. We will certainly be back."

It's not obvious from the pics but the location is not on the beach but is a very easy walk to the beach and town (like five minutes). I was there to see how the lesser towns in Istria celebrate Advent which is a big deal in this region. Small town, big party!
I've been going to Porec for 5 years now, primarily in the summer months. The Parentium is far and away the nicest resort in the area and usually the most expensive. It is the only property I know of in the area with a beach that can be described as sandy. The staff has always been a little chilly. Being massively concerned with the number of people in your room. The Valamar Riviera Hotel offers a superb location right on the waterfront and next to many restaurants and bars. We were greeted by the friendly staff who facilitated a very smooth and pleasant check-in. Our hotel room was clean and comfortable and met (or even exceeded) our expectations.
The breakfast buffet was delightful and included fresh breads, cold cuts, fruit, cereal, eggs, sausages, juice, yogurt, etc.
Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer!
Beautiful hotel in a lovely city. The hotel is the city's center piece. It is pure enjoyment. The hotel is impecable, the staff could not be nicer , the views are breathtaking and the breakfast is extraordinary. Can't wait to return.
Fantastic place to bring young kids! Right on the most beautiful lagoon with so many fun options for the kids to play- water slide, inflatable, snorkeling. Our apartment had two bedrooms, a very well-appointed kitchenette, and a little living room. Easy and beautiful walk into town, or can take a bike taxi or the tourist train. Excellent, kind service. It was great for our family and we’d love to stay here again!
Everything in the room was old. The room was big enough and the balcony was nice. The bathroom got very smelly from time to time. All of the staff were very nice. Food at the restaurant wasn’t great but good enough. Pool and playgrounds were nice as we have a 3 year old. Probably wouldn’t stay here again but it was good enough for what we needed at the time.
We’ve stayed in this hotel for 5 days and everything was more than perfect. Breakfast and dinner buffet were huge, great food quality and variety. Hotel was very clean and the surrounding well maintained and neatly done. We’ll be definitely staying again in this hotel.
