"very cool hotel, with a swimming pool and small gym on the 15th floor, and in addition a real stylish bar. the location is excellent, about a 15 minute walk to to Ostbahnhof ( Munich East train station) , which is 3 stations away from Marienplatz and has two lines going to the airport ( S1 and S8 ) . the rooms are really nice and spacious, with a panoramic view of the city. the area of the hotel has plenty of nice bars and restaurants .Highly recommended !!"
"Clean well-maintained affordable hotel with very friendly staff. I lost my glasses, and the staff immediately took upon themselves to offer to call places, where I might have lost them, and then proceeded to offer a solution by pointing out where I could easily get replacement glasses cheaply. Whilst not a luxury property, it was clean, wellmaintained and offered a lounge area for informal meetings and good breakfast services and a bar."

I have stayed at many Ibis hotels. I can say that this was by far the best ibis hotel ever. It was at brand new condition. The room was perfect and comfortable.There is no negative comments about this hotel, except for the parking fee.
The location of the hotel is also very easy that you can reach the motorway in minutes.
The hotel has an underground parking for 12 euros. i think that it would make sense to park it on the street.

The hotel was in Old Town Munich. Excellent restaurants steps away. The breakfast was amazing. Loved the bedding and how clean the room was. Absolutely a great choice to stay.

Amazing restaurant with wonderful service. Breakfast buffet is well worth it and a great restaurant for dinner upon arrival. Rooms are beautifully decorated and clean. Great location in a beautiful area!
Hotel was in fabulous location just off Marienplatz. It was cute, had little pastries on check in. The breakfast was good and had a nice breakfast room. Perfect base to explore central Munich and super close to U and S bahn stop. Sad I only stayed one night. Would definitely stay longer in the future.
We stayed with our adult children at the Hotel Obermaier during Octoberfest. It was all that we had hoped for. It is a traditional hotel with a good restaurant attached. It is convenient by Metro to downtown Munich. It is much more reasonably priced than closer-in hotels. Our room and bathroom were comfortable. The breakfast was unbelievably generous and delicious. We will definitely stay at the Hotel Obermaier if we are fortunate enough to return to Munich, particularly during Octoberfest.

We picked the end of September to stay at the hotel. Since the hotel does not have air conditioning we were concerned, but at the end of September, the weather was perfect!
