The residences were excellent value for money with full sized washing machines and dryer in the suite, a well appointed kitchen and good sized refrigerator. There was plenty of secure parking. On site conveniences included a hairdressing salon (who fixed my bad haircut), a pharmacy and a nearby grocery store. South Terrace is easily accessed by public transport.
The only issue with our stay is the cost of parking is way to o high. $30 a day is quite excessive and that is not even valet parking. I feel that this should be much less especially if you are staying multiple nights.
Great hotel in a great location. Lovely staff. Breakfast was limited to yogurt and bread, but it was good. The room was roomy and well-appointed for the price.
Stayed for two nights, and it was wonderful! The room was cozy, bed was comfy, and the buffet breakfast every morning was delicious. Huge props for the amount of gluten free options available! Hazel and the staff were also very lovely and helpful.
Fantastic stay. Hubby and I recently stayed at Crown Towers (Perth) and both agreed that the attentive service that we received at The Westin was miles better from the front office, bar, food & beverage team at Garum and the friendly concierge. The hotel has large, comfortable rooms at a reasonable price and an outstanding location. It is near the pier and also walking distance to the train station. It is close to many outstanding restaurants in the area.
Loved everything about the Alex, but as usual, it was the people that made the real difference... Cool and "hip", but unpretentious and very comfortable. Probably one of the best locations I've ever experienced in a hotel, with great restaurants one block away and great museums one block in the other direction. Will be back!

Red cat is just stone throw away to the city, Watertown is a block away that you definitely want to visit, and there is the yellowcat.
Only thing they could improve is to offer late check out.

I had a wonderful stay, in large part because I was able to secure a room on a high floor, where the view over the park is spectacular. The rooms on the lower floors are a bit noisier and do not have such great views. The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating and the neighborhood was lovely. I will definitely book here when I next return to Perth.
