Bad experience
When we arrived the person checking us in did not seem to have our booking anywhere to be found in their books (we booked a few months in advance). When we got our room there were stains on the sheets and towels (incl bleach stains) the room was dirty with thick layers of dust and pee stains on the bathroom wall. By the time we saw the room we had checked in. It was so bad we decided to move to another hotel. The guy we spoke to at the hotel said we had to contact hotels.com to get a refund, as we didn’t end up staying there, but that he didn’t have a problem with a refund as we didn’t stay there. When we contacted hotels.com they said it was up to the hotel if they would allow a refund but that they had been unable to reach anyone at the hotel and that they were not answering the phone calls from hotels.com. My husband went to speak to the guy working at the hotel and he said we wouldn’t be able to get a hold of the owner.
So as the hotel never responded to hotels.com we did not get a refund for a place we didn’t spend a single night in.
