Proximity to the geothermal spa (great cafe with good vegetarian options) and the hostel (nice cafe staff and good vegetarian options) was the draw to this guest house which was convenient to the Golden Circle sites we wanted to visit. We also lucked out and got a clear night to see the aurora borealis.

We had a wonderful stay at Bjork Guesthouse from April 11 to 12. The communication with one of the owners, Alexander, was fantastic. He was responsive and answered all of my questions promptly, providing valuable guidance on where to go and look for the northern lights. The room we stayed in was very spacious, well-equipped, and incredibly comfortable. Additionally, the location was convenient for our next stop, making our travel plans seamless. Overall, I highly recommend Bjork Guesthouse for anyone looking for a welcoming and comfortable stay in South Iceland. Thank you, Alexander, for your hospitality I would definitely recommend your guesthouse to anyone.

The main door the the building requires the code to close it. Many other guests did not figure this out and decided to slam the door closed. The resulting noise was heard in our room. Otherwise the guesthouse is great! I loved the comfy bed and large, clean bathroom.

great room, nice to have private bathroom at this price, shower was a small, floor was not so clean (and not from us as our shoes were left at the front door as asked). Was expecting a kitchen area to cook a meal, and there was none. Room was great, had a fridge, a kettle, lots of space - easy to check in - well done on that front.

Despite the property's renovations, there is a pervasive odor of mold that could potentially pose a health risk to guests, suggesting that the mold may be embedded within the building's structure. To mitigate this, we slept with the windows open, and fortunately, our stay was only for one night.
