The hotel is conveniently located near downtown, but it’s in a run-down area with a heavy homeless presence, making it feel unsafe to walk around—especially after dark. The main bed was comfortable, and the suite was spacious, but the sofa bed was in poor condition. Note that there are no two-bedroom suites available.
Housekeeping was minimal: over the course of our stay, the room was only attended to twice, with just towels replaced and beds made—no real cleaning, no toiletries replenished, and the carpet wasn’t vacuumed.
Most reception staff were polite and respectful, except for one man who checked us in. Despite arriving after check-in time, we were told our room wasn’t ready. He mentioned it was the only room available and had a bad smell because it was just vacated. When I asked for another room, he stated it was “first-come, first-served,” which was surprising since we booked and paid months in advance.
