Great place right outside of the old town

Great place to stay if you’re visiting Nördlingen! Right across the street from one of the gates into the city. Very walkable, lots of dining options close by. Hotel room was clean and comfortable.

The hotel itself is very pretty, the room looks nice and is spacious and modern and the staff is insanely nice and helpful, I can not say this enough. The reason why we can not give more stars is the insane amount of dust in the room, and the loudness at night. If you are allergic to dust you are going to have serious issues here. The surfaces are very clean, the issue is the black highlight wall behind the bed, which is covered from floor to ceiling in dust. My husband was sneezing non stop during our stay and I had issues breathing too. It was impossible to sleep without an open window and that ended up with us having a very noisy night due to cars, trains, the rattling of the metal shutters and funnily some drunk teenagers. It also would be nice to have something like a minibar, just so that you’re able to cool something if you want, but that is just a personal preference.

Wie immer war meine Zimmer sehr gut. Auch (fast) alles andere war wie immer top. Ich reiste etwas früher an und das Zimmer war bereits um 11 Uhr bezugsbereit. Wir haben an einem Abend im Restaurant gegessen und da war es sehr offensichtlich dass die Küche/das Restaurant zuwenig Personal haben. Wie wir sehen konnten, war nur eine Person anwesend um sich um die gesamte Bedienung zu kümmern (und es waren doch über 10 Tische besetzt). Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich, aber für uns dauerte es eine Stunde vom Reinkommen bis wir unser Essen bekamen. Die Situation wurde erkannt und uns wurde eine Nachtisch "auf das Haus" offeriert was sehr freundlich war und uns wieder etwas versönlicher gestimmt hat. Wie gesagt, im Allgemeinen immer noch sehr zufrieden mit der Erfahrung im 2nd-Home aber im Bereich Restaurant sollte mehr Personal sein. Es war bei früheren Restaurantbesuchen deutlich besser.
