We had a lovely stay, the apartment is in a great location and the hosts were excellent. The apartment is in great condition for such an old building, howerver the air-con units were very noisy and really need servicing or replacing, something I told the owners straight away. Maintenance of properties in Venice must be a real challenge so we didn't expect perfection. Would definitely visit again! P.s the property was listed as 3 bedrooms when we booked but the confirmation email said 2 bedrooms. After some confusing communication they clarified it was 2 bed but when we arrived we found it was 3 bedrooms, as one of the rooms has been split with some built-in wardrobes. Again, we've notified the hosts so they'll maybe amend the listing but we understand if they can't legally advertise it as 3 bed 🙂

I'll start with the positives... the beds were comfortable. The location was very good next to all the sites and dining. I honestly prefer the quieter side like San paolo. As one other person stated in another review ...do not expect what you see in the pictures as they were most likely taken years ago. There was decor missing and no decorative bedding on any of the beds..There was only a sheet and a small blanket. The little bed had nothing on it. The place is in need of a freshening up because a lot of notable wear. The shower floors in both bathrooms were yellow and a little crusty looking. The bigger shower floor was also leaking onto the floor, because of rusted framing. There was also an odor of sewage from the smaller bathroom that also went ito the bedroom. The sofa is almost unusable as the cushion constantly fall of and is very noisy. Last thing i would say is the value for the money is definitely not there. I believe there better places for the amount paid.

For someone going to Venice for the first time, finding the place with the direction would be hard. We had hard time finding the place. Google map takes you to totally different place. So never use google map for apartment in the alleyway. The directions talks about using line 2 and vaparato stop. You won’t see vaparato stop in google maps. But instead you see realto in the map. And you can take line one also to get off at realto to get here. Overall it was confusing.
