I might have missed it but would have been nice to have something directing us to local shops and restaurants. The room was lovely and the trail was nice by the creek. Only negative with the traffic noise from the Hwy. We had a front room that faced it. I really liked that you had several fire pits available for the guest including the wood.
We loved this beautiful mountain inn. The room is spotless and well-appointed, with a splendidly comfortable bed. The front porch is a fabulous place to sit in a rocker and watch the world go by. The creekside trail is a lovely walk with picnic spots to use as desired. The outdoor hot tub is a joy to the senses and tired muscles. It's very quiet with Blue Mountain Brewery just 5 minutes down the road for good food and brews, also featuring live music on Wednesdays. You can also play billiards or chess in the game room. We loved it.
The property was beautiful and it literally had everything we needed and more! They even had a firstaid kit which was useful after finding some ticks from our Shenandoah hike. Loved the pla e and will definately be back!
Checkin was easy. Snacks and kitchen area were nice. Nice touches like white noise machine, eye masks, etc were a really unexpected and nice touch.
Our room was a bit cramped, and it wouldāve been nice to have some plates and cutlery in the kitchen. The microwave was way too loud too. We felt like we were disturbing everyone, every time we used it.
It was an experience that felt better than staying in a hotel. It had its own unique, home-like atmosphere that felt very comfortable. The digital locks on the front door and the room door was very convenient and made me
Feel secure. They provided eye masks, wine glasses, a wine cooler, and so much more. Cleanliness was impeccable.
Historic home with recent updates. Many nice amenities set this home apart. A pool, hiking trail, swing, multiple firepits, a freezer with ice cream! Our room #4 was very nice and comfortable but the bathroom is a little small. They had a coffee bar with probably 30 different kinds of coffee.
Great location for visiting Nelson county hiking trails, wineries and breweries. Room was great, loved the fireplaces outside. Ice cream was a nice touch. Would have been nice, though, to have an actual ice maker (the one there was not working) and a refrigerator.
No one thereā¦..NO ONE. Called to ask how we could access the building. Weāre given a code that did not work, then given one that did. We then needed a code for the room we reserved. Since we were then given different codes, we decided to leave the door open while we brought a small amount of items in from the car. We were the only people in the building/ house. Never again ! Also, extra charges were applied to the price. We did not realize it because we only had Cell service while outside. They should at least have a human greet you upon arrival. Very strange overall !!!!!!!
We enjoyed the ease of checking in, the snacks were good. No breakfast, but we didn't expect it. The walk to the creek was really nice and was enjoyed with our coffee. We stayed here at the start of our blue ridge parkway drive. Would highly recommend.
