First the good - the shuttle was waiting for us at the airport when we arrived and took us quickly to the hotel. There was a/c in the room which kept it cool enough. Tsion, the receptionist on duty on our arrival was very pleasant and made every effort to remedy the deficiencies in the room. The location was very convenient - close to the airport and many shops. But overall, we were disappointed with our stay this time. When we got to the hotel late at night we encountered that the room was not set up for 2 people - no hand towels, only one bottle of water and one cup for making tea, and no tea bags. According to our reservation with Hotels.com we were supposed to receive a free beverage and be offered a room upgrade. Neither happened. And the worst of all was that there was no hot water for our showers early on the morning of our departure. Not sure we would book here again on a future stay in Addis.

The rooms are huge and beds are comfortable. The room I was given was on the Namibia street side and got lots of sun, making it quite warm and required opening windows to ventilate. The downside was the amount of street noise that came in. I talked to the staff before I left and they showed me rooms on a different side that would not have those problems (heat and noise) so for another stay I would request to not be on the Namibia street side. I was disappointed in the breakfast options - the hot foods were not very hot and not very tasty either. There was a small sampling of fruits and fresh fruit juices which were nice.
