We had a great experience staying at Base Camp Hotel. The staff are accommodating, friendly and cheerful! We stayed in rooms 24 and 25, which were spacious with a view of Matterhorn from the balcony( when not shrouded in clouds). The location is away from the town center but we didn’t mind the 12-minute walk passing through the pretty shops and crossing the Kirchbrücke. We enjoyed the hearty breakfast too!

My wife and I stayed 3 nights. Free shuttle (with minimum 3 nights) to and from train station was convenient. Room was spacious. We also had amazing view of the Matterhorn from our balcony. Breakfast was wonderful with good selection. Using the sauna after a long day of hiking was very nice. The best part was the pleasant staff members who helped with planning for things to do.

The room had an amazing view of the Matterhorn, and the bathroom had a glass ceiling that allowed me to see the stars and part of the mountains while showering. The staff, the breakfast, and the location were great. I will definitely come back here on my next trip to Zermatt.

From start to finish the experience at Basecamp was amazing. Prior to arrival the staff were great at recommending and booking restaurants and snowboard hire. During the stay they were also fantastic, the brekky was great and the mountain view rooms were really well sized to settle in for 5 days.
