What is truly excellent about this hotel is its location and the staff, especially the young man at the reception. The hotel itself is beautiful and very inviting. The room was a good size, although it was a downside that the window could not be opened.
Unfortunately, the bed and breakfast were not up to standard. The bed felt worn out, saggy, and rather narrow. The breakfast did not meet my expectations; for me, a proper breakfast includes fried or boiled eggs — scrambled eggs feel like a waste of good eggs. There was also a sour smell coming from the ham. I went to breakfast twice, and on the second morning, there were no bacon crumbles — and I wonder why there were crumbles instead of slices, like the day before. A staff member told me they always change the breakfast menu. A suggestion: avoid removing the items that guests clearly enjoy — like traditional English breakfast items. The juice was probably the worst I have ever tasted.
I would consider staying here again if breakfast were not included in the price and if the beds were upgraded.
