Our stay at Pvillon Bleu was delightful. We have been before, and it is one of our favouite places. The setting, on the bank of Le Loiret is so lovely, and we were able to dine by the water. The welocme, as always, was warm, without being overdone. The room was large, and beautifully prepared, the bathroom spotless. Of course, dinner was superb, living up to its reputation of being one of the best restaurants around Orléans. All in all, a stay at Le Pavillon Bleu is a real treat.

Location is amazing with the possibility to for a great walk along the banks of the Loiret for outside the hotel. Really memorable. Bedroom and bathroom cosy, very clean and comfortable. The hotel is charming a restored "Guingette" and even out of season a great spot to stop over. The owner's wine cellar is stellar. Star were accommodating. Food was pleasant and breakfast good too. We would recommend and will be back!

Excellent

What a lovely find. Just 10 mins from the motorway. This old building has huge rooms, bath /shower. Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Lovely views of the lake with great walks after a long journey. However the best is left to last, the restaurant! If you want excellent food and a wine list to die for, this is for you. This is not a cheap restaurant but you will not be disappointed.

A Wonderful Taste of Frace

Le Pavillon Bleu is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are simple, but very comfortable, (TV, Tea making and soon). The situation, nestling against Le Loiret. The restaurant is exceptional, everything beautifly prepared, and presented, with a splendid range of wines to accompany the dishes. The patron and his staff are friendly and so professional. Le Pavilion Bleu is one of our favourite places to stay. If you want a real taste of France, this hotel, and its restaurant , is for you. I cannon recommend it enough.

This is my second overnight visit prior to driving to the Channel Tunnel. My overall assessment is excellent. The location by the river, the high standard of the restaurant, both food, wine and service plus the high standard of room facilities is the reason for my assessment. Would recommend! Anthony Evans

Room overlooked the car park even though it was booked some months before. We could not have our evening meal on the veranda overlooking the river so went elsewhere and still a couple of tables free later in the evening.

This property has great potential. Unfortunately the hotel has not had the same care and dedication shown as the restaurant. There is a lack of sound insulation, not enough staff on hand for check-in and check out, the rooms are OK but the bathrooms have chipped grout and black mould in places. Recommendation, eat at the restaurant and stay somewhere else.

Do not stay if hot weather

We had a room under the roof , terribly hot , no aircon , no fan provided and no moustique net at the windows so could not open these . No lift , No one at reception even though it was supposed to be manned at 8pm . Breakfast was not a buffet as shown on the photo , we had to share one boiled egg, when we asked for a second one as we are 2 it was not part of the deal… I would not recommend this hotel in the summer .

Disappointing experience in Olivet

Granted, the hotel is a lovely old lady situated on the canal with beautiful walking trails and away from the noise of the city. The hotel advertises their restaurant, posts a remarkable menu, and indicates dining is available 7 days a week. We arrived on Sunday, July 30, late in the afternoon and were told that the restaurant was not open that evening. We enquired about others options and received very little help except being told that there was a restaurant a few buildings down the street. It was also closed. When we returned to the foyer of Pavillon Bleu, we found it empty of staff and the open dining and bar area roped off, lights out. My husband made the mistake of stepping around the rope into the main entrance and promptly set of the security alarm. Still, no one arrived. We left the property in search of dinner, but feeling guilty, return to the hotel. The alarm was off, and still, no one around. Breakfast the next morning was served in the foyer of the bar and was adequate. We found that the Hotel lacked the “hospitality” that we have experienced all over France. It was a disappointing experience to say the least.

Chambre propre mais nous avons demandé à être changé de chambre car ça sentait fort les canalisations. Dans la nouvelle chambre, la porte avait reçue des coups, les portes serviettes manquait un peu de peinture. Les Moquettes des escaliers bien fatiguées... Petit déjeuner un peu juste pour le tarif. Dommage, hôtel de charme qui mériterait d'avoir un peu plus d'attention.

Pas de réception. L'accueil se fait au niveau du bar. Ceci en dit long sur la place de l'hôtellerie dans cet établissement. Accueil peu chaleureux par un serveur. Pas d'aide pour porter les bagages à l'étage et pas d'ascenseur. Pas de parking réservé aux clients de l'hôtel qui oblige ces derniers à se garer loin. Petit déjeuner quelconque servi à l'intérieur (par grand beau temps) au niveau du "hall d'accueil" sans possibilité d'être en bordure de Loiret. Chambre spacieuse et agréable mais quel dommage : vu sur le parking !! Franchement hôtel plus que décevant... Les moyens sont visiblement mis pour le restaurant mais sûrement pas pour l'hôtel. Nous n'y retournerons pas. Il y a un gros effort à faire pour l'hôtellerie...
